Help End Childhood Hunger in Our Community

Jewels & Jeans, an event brought to you by Rives E. Worrell Company will take place on April 26th from 7-10pm at America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia.  Tickets are $75 each for an evening of great food, dancing, and raising money to stop childhood hunger.  There will be a complimentary full bar along with live entertainment by the Train Wrecks.

Taste of Asia Gala

Step on out Friday, April 20th to the Bamboo Farm for an evening of Asian Cuisine.  $50 per person, helps raise money to create a garden at the facility that is accessible to people with disabilities.  6:30pm at the Bamboo Artifacts Museum.  Call Liz at 912-921-5460 for more information.

Taste of Hope Fundraiser

Attention all Savannah Foodies!  This event on Feb. 17th, will feature bites from all of your favorites.  Think Leoci’s, Sisters of the New South, Shane’s Rib Shack, and Gigi’s Cupcakes all under the same roof.  It’s $30 per person to attend the event which will be held at the Charles Morris Center at 7pm.  Proceeds will benefit Urban Hope, a non-profit providing free after-school programs for Savannah kids.  Call 912-398-9811.

BBQ, Brews and Bluegrass

The Next Generation hosts its 2nd annual BBQ, Brew & Bluegrass fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Roundhouse Railroad Museum. BBQ from Smokin’ Pig and Whistle Stop Cafe, and Bluegrass by the Jimmy Wolling Band. Lots of rides and other kid-friendly stuff!  Plus arts & crafts and more. Adults $20/person. Kids 12 and younger are FREE!

Pirates of the Low Country Gala

On September 20th, the Pirates House will host a historical gala celebrating 250 years of Low Country cuisine, all to benefit the Savannah Ocean Exchange.  Guests will dine on Low Country Boil Lollipops, Wild Georgia Shrimp, BBQ Pulled Pork with Peach Chutney, Oysters Daufuskie and Buccaneer Red Velvet Cupcakes to name a few.  

Aside from a tempting menu, Tarin Lupo, author of Pirates of Savannah, will be doing a book signing and all guests will receive a swag bag filled with $100 + of local merchandise thanks to The South Magazine.  Tickets are $55 per person or $400 for a corporate table of 8.  The event will take place from 6-8pm and will feature costumed interpreters too!  RSVP by September 16th to 912-349-2427.
