Shalom Y’all Jewish Festival – October 30th

This is the 23rd annual Shalom Y’all Jewish Festival and it will take place from 11am-4pm in Forsyth Park.  Stop by and enjoy authentic Jewish cuisine like bagels and cream cheese with lox, potato latkes, fresh blintzes, apple strudel, hummus and pita, and so much more!  The festival will also have plenty of music and dancing and puppet shows for the kids.  Admission is free, but you must buy tickets for purchasing food.  Two ticket stands will be there on the day of the event, or purchase yours online early by visiting:

Have a French lunch in the Park

Savannah has Forsyth Park, one of America’s loveliest center-of-the-city Gardens. This is the perfect place to take your sweetie for a relaxing lunch.  Our marvelous French take-out restaurant, Papillote, 218 W. Wanna Win this Year’s Picnic in Forysth Park?

We’ve got a few tips to help the foodie in you, put on your best display! 

1.  Stick to the Johnny Mercer theme. 

2.  Creativity doesn’t have to cost a ton of money.  You might be surprised at the items you have at home that could help with decor.

3.  Be considerate of other picnic set ups.  Large tents should not block other picnics. 

4.  Grills are not allowed in Forsyth Park.

5.  Talk to the judges when they come by.

6.  For family entries, be sure your setup includes something from everyone, even the little ones.
