Go for the lamb for a change!

I imagine that everyone in Savannah knows that the Crystal Beer Parlor does good burgers!   After all, what’s a beer parlor without a great burger?   But I’d forgotten about the Greek side of the Parlor these days….. And the Greek Lamb Burger is a terrific change from the standard ground beef burger. Served with a delicious Tsadziki Sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and, if you wish, Feta cheese, this is one delicious taste delight!   Go for it!   By the way, don’t forget Happy Hour, 4 to 7 pm Monday through Friday.  Nice discounts on every drink.

A Terrific Burger at Sunnyside Up!

Two of our foodie friends had lunch recently at Sunnyside Up (800 DeRenne).  Now we know that Sunnyside Up has great breakfasts–super-fresh eggs, heavenly hash browns, wonderful omelets.  But we’d never thought of them as a lunch spot. One of my friends reported “best burger I ever ate!”, and the other said his Tuna Club ws the best he’d ever eaten.  Sounds  worth a trip to us!

Papillote owners aglow over surprise!

Last time they went on vacation, Papillote owners, Chef  Herve Didailler and Ann Marie Apgar returned with a surprise, a bunch of new dishes on the menu.  This time, after a week of “eating our way through Dallas,” they brought another surprise—their engagement. They’ve not yet set a wedding date (with their families on two sides of the Atlantic, it gets a little complicated), but they’re all smiles!
