Open Fire Cooking Workshop January 28

Learn how to cook a 5 course meal over an open fire on Oatland Island!  You’ll also learn how to cook with cast iron and how to care for it.  This event will take place from 9am-3pm and is open to anyone 12 years of age or older but you better book quickly as the workshop can only accommodate 25 people.  Call 912-395-1212.

Noble Fare hosts first Wine Dinner of New Year

Patrick and Jenny McNamara of Noble Fare will host their first wine dinner of 2012 on January 16th, with a reception starting at 6:30pm and the dinner starting at 7pm.  Pete Stolpman of Stolman Vineyards will be there to discuss his vineyard, the only “Cote Rotie” styled vineyard in California.  Of course you’ll enjoy a sampling with the wonderful food prepared are Noble Fare.  $119 per person, reservations required.

Green Drinks is Tonight!

Green Drinks networking social will be held tonight from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Taco Abajo, 217 1/2 W. Broughton Street.  They’ll be celebrating National Cut Your Energy Cost Day and you’ll get to learn about Telluride’s 3rd Annual Mountainfilm on Tour in Savannah.  Of course there will be plenty of small bites and drink specials on hand too.

Exciting Reception at Local 11 Ten this evening

This evening, Monday, Jan. 9, 5 to 7 pm, recent works by noted Savannah artist, Katherine Sandoz, will be exhibited at Local 11 Ten, 1110 Bull St.   Additionally, the evening will kick off Savannah’s citywide mural project, known as SeeSAW (Savannah Art Walls). As always, complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be available.

Papillote Closed for Vacation

Chef Herve and partner Ann Marie are in France for a long anticipated vacation.  It’s the first time in three years that Savannah’s noted French chef has been to his home country.  We’re certain that he’s thoroughly enjoying reconnecting with family and friends!  Papillote will re-open on January 18.
