Food, Wine, and Rock for a Good Cause

Don’t miss the Rock ‘n’ Roll Wine Dinner at The Westin Savannah Harbor!  This fun event will benefit the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Foundation, and will feature live entertainment from musician Spencer Clark.  Chef Roger Michel will prepare a four course wine pairing dinner, and wonderful wines from Amizetta Vineyards in Napa Valley will be sampled. 

This event will take place April 9th at 6:30pm, and costs $150 for a single ticket or $250 for couples.  Corporate sponsorship is also available. Please RSVP by April 2, 912-201-2018

For all you Philly Cheese Steak lovers, take note that The Breakfast Place, in the Crossroads Shopping Center in Gordonston/Thunderbolt area, now has a Philly Cheesesteak Breakfast and a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich for lunch.

Savannah Smiles – Open on the 17th!

For 8 years, Savannah Smiles Dueling Piano Bar has been open on St. Patrick’s Day.  This year will be no exception.  They will open their doors on the 17th, and treat Service Industry folks to a FREE cover!  If you’re in the service industry, be sure to bring a badge or some form of proof of your employment.  To top it all off, they will have special performances by pianist from across the country…a detailed list to follow.

McDonough’s to Re-Open

Just in time for St. Pat’s Day!  Billy Lee, owner of the popular Drayton St. bar/restaurant, McDonough’s, says that at least the downstairs portion of the watering hole,  will re- open in time for St. Patrick’s Day.

The bar was badly burnt in a fire late last summer and has been undergoing restoration ever since.

Brand new barbeque restaurant

Just opened this morning: Blowin’ Smoke BBQ at 514 MLK Blvd. Launched by Brian & Jennifer Huskey, who also own and operate the delicious B. Matthews Restaurant, this promises to be one of Savannah’s great BBQ joints! And it’s open for both lunch and dinner, seven days a week. Don’t miss this one!
